Welcome to Heymish ("the App", "the Service"). Heymish is operated by Satori-Advisory, a registered business (עוסק מורשה) in Israel ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you use the Heymish app — a social game for couples and friends.

This policy applies to our mobile application and our website at heymish.app.

  • Account details: Email address, username, and profile picture when you sign up.
  • Game data: Answers to questions (including in the intimate and sexy categories), scores, game streaks, and progress data.
  • Chat messages: Messages sent between players within the game.
  • Personal questions: Custom questions you create within the Service.
  • Technical information: Device type, operating system, IP address, app version, and general usage analytics.

3. Sensitive Data

Some categories of the game (such as "intimate" and "sexy") may involve answers related to personal relationships and sexuality. We treat all answers in these categories as sensitive personal data and apply heightened security protections accordingly. By choosing to answer questions in these categories, you provide your explicit consent to the processing of this data for the purpose of operating the game.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: Processing your account data and game data is necessary to provide the Service you signed up for.
  • Consent: Processing sensitive data (intimate/sexy category answers) is based on your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Legitimate interest: Analyzing usage patterns to improve the Service, and maintaining security.
  • Legal obligation: Retaining certain data as required by applicable law.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Operating and maintaining the Service, including managing your account and delivering gameplay.
  • Personalizing your game experience, including suggesting relevant questions.
  • Improving the app based on aggregated and anonymized usage analysis.
  • Sending service-related updates and notifications.
  • Securing the Service and preventing misuse.

6. Data Storage, Security, and Transfers

Your information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase (hosted on Amazon Web Services). Our website is hosted by Vercel. These servers may be located outside of Israel, including in the European Union and the United States.

For international transfers of personal data, we rely on appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses and the service providers' compliance with applicable data protection frameworks.

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
  • Game data and chat messages: Retained until you delete your account, after which it is deleted within 30 days.
  • Technical logs: Retained for up to 12 months for security and debugging purposes.

After account deletion, we may retain certain data in anonymized or aggregated form for analytics purposes, where such data can no longer identify you.

8. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following cases:

  • Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (website hosting), and other technical infrastructure services necessary to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law or in response to valid legal process.
  • Protection of rights: When necessary to protect our rights, user safety, or the public interest.

9. Your Rights

Under applicable law, including the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law (1981) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.

10. Cookies

The website uses only essential cookies required for proper Service functionality, such as authentication and session management. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it as soon as possible. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

12. Third-Party Platforms

The Heymish app is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your use of these platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party platforms.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or sent to you via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the changes.
